Overall: Marshall is your typical bay mare… for the most part. Overlook her slight strange markings and features and she is a just a typical Danish Warmblood. All of her legs are black until her knees, excluding the white on her two hind legs, giving her two white stockings. Those, one would not call the stockings white. They are colored the same color as the horn that adorns her head. A light navy blue. Travel up her body and she has a muscular chest and hindquarters from all of her training in the forces. Her black mane and tail are longish. Her tail hangs in between her ankles and her knees while her mane falls down at least three quarters of her neck. Hanging around her neck is a metal chain that carries the two badges from her old life, marking her as a person of law enforcement even though she is no longer a member of the force. On her face she has a pure white stripe that starts with a star on the top Sliding back to her brown color, the white does not pick up until the snip on her black nose. Her forelock is fairly long, covering her eyes, split where her horn sits on her head. Now, for the horn. It is of medium length, spiraled, and two toned. The base tone is a light navy blue, just like her back stockings. The other color highlights the spiral, this color being navy blue.

Overall: Marshall is known for her massive amount of what could be called useless information. She tends to find a way to stick it into almost any conversation, usually getting on the nerves of her friends or just simply the person that she happens to be talking to. She loves mental puzzles and challenges, getting bored fairly quickly when she has nothing to do. She is also very attentive of her surroundings, noticing small details that one would normally overlook. She has a very natural curiosity, always poking her nose into something that one would normally turn away from, just because it was enticing. She loves adventure and craves the rush of adrenaline that follows. To some, she may give off the air of a detective, retaining the instinct that a detective has, yet she is no detective. She has a very cerebral style of thinking, letting her mind and rational sense guide her actions instead of letting her emotions take over. Marshall is pretty closed off, feeling that showing the least amount of emotions helps the analytical thinking of the brain. This does not mean that she is an emotionless horse. These rules are mostly about the major emotions such as Love, thus making the likelihood that she would ever fall in love slim, but not impossible. If you are lucky to become one of her true close friends, she tends to show emotion to them, and even for them if they get hurt or harmed. Marshall is a very loyal friend, always there to help out and give a hand to a troubled friend. Although she has a very analytical thought process, if the notions and motives behind the act that her friend wishes to commit are true, she will go against her rational thought of following the rules and take their side. If one of her friends gets hurt, she tries to maintain a calm and logical face before others, but when no one is looking, she will go to the person that hurt her friend and give them a piece of her mind, or fist, which ever is closer. Although she is very loyal, she tends not to make very many friends, not because she is a fowl person, but because she feels that having too many attachments is not good for the mind, tending to say with just acquaintances. She also feels that there is no point in being friends with someone who does not understand her, and that is most people out there. When she does become your friend, along with the loyalty comes a playful, almost childish relationship. She finds it fun to tease them when she comes out victorious in arguments, challenges, and other disputes. To those that are not her friends, she regards them in a very analytical way. Don not expect to meet her and instantly become friends. You could meet her and never even become an acquaintance to her, just a person who grazed through her life, not really worth remembering because they left no lasting impression. Though, in a meeting, she still releases useless information about the world because it is her nature. She also believes that no horse that she meets is truly evil, just acting in a form or self-defense, that self-defense also being called self-preservation.
History
History: Marshall grew up in a pretty close family. She had one brother named Mycroft who was a year older then her. Her entire family held occupational titles of what we could call a US Marshal. Until the age of one, she lived happily with her family, playing with her brother and listening to the adults and elders, gaining her vast amounts of useless information. She was well liked by most, even though her mind could annoy some of the more short tempered horses in the herd.
When she hit a year and a half, she joined her brother in the Academy. The Academy only accepted a few horses from each year, and when she made it in, her father was overjoyed. He had also gone to the academy and it was his dream for his two children to do the same. Marshall enjoyed her life at the Academy, loving the challenges that it put forth to her mind.
When she reached two, she received her probational Quarters Badge, this could also be seen as a US Marshals badge. She joined her classmates, few there may be, brother, and other members of the Quarters on low level missions.
During this time, she also came into her powers. Marshall's herd was a mix between those of fire and those of normal blood, thus allowing her access to the Fire Union. The fire blood seemed to run in the female blood of her family, for neither her brother nor her father retained the gift. Despite the thoughts of others, her brother was not jealous, retaining the very kind disposition that he always carried, and rejoiced with the rest of her family at her gaining her powers.
Now doing double duty in both the Quarters and the Fire Union, she stayed happy, always having a new mission or project on her hands.
Reaching two and a half years, she was taken out of Fire Union Training and was also granted her full Quarters Badge.
On her first mission, she was leading a group of three others to check out a river on the edge of their boarder. It was a simple mission, or so it seemed. There had been some damning problems that were effecting the flow of water further into the territory. It was unknown if it was a natural blockage or if someone had been tampering with the flow of water, the team was sent out. Marshall lead the team, holding the highest rank of a Fire Union Quarter. The other members of her team were Kevin, a probational Fire Union member, and two Quarters, Lana and Haltson. Arriving at the location of the greeted them with a strange sight. There did not seem to be any fowl play in the loss of water down stream except from Mother Nature. Two trees had fallen into the river, landing on top of each other, creating a dam.
Directing Kevin to the other bank, they intended to control burn the logs as best as they could, but Marshall knew that this was a poor solution. The wet logs would not burn, even with the combined strength of both her and Kevin. Sending Lana over to the other bank with Kevin, she told them to make sure that they had good footing. Intending to try and push one of the logs off the other to allow for a better flow of water was the first step of a plan that Marshall intended to put into action. Directing Haltson to her side, she thrust her shoulder into the log, trying her best to make gravity take hold and finish the job. Several attempts and the combined strength of the four horses finally allowed the upper log to crash into the river with a large splash. The water began rushing over the logs in a poor form of a rapid. Determined to remove the trees so that the river could fully flow, she noticed that if they could get the center of the trees to burn, they coudl burn them from the inside out to the point where the force of the river could clear the rest of the tree waste out of the way. She directed Lana and Haltson into the river between the two logs to check for any animals, and if they found any, to tell them to clear out as she and Kevin began to burn the insides of the tree. Their death had taken the moisture out of their trunks, making them easy to burn. As both flames caught, she yelled at both Haltson and Lana to leave the river as she and Kevin lit the second fire.
Smoke soon filled the air and although she had heard the conformation from Kevin that Lana had reached her side of the river, she had yet to catch a visual of Haltson. Hearing the cracking of the tree trunks, and still no sign of her team member, her heart rate picked up. Her voice called out his name over and over again. As a second loud snap echoed through the air, it was joined by the terrorized scream of a horse. Halt. Marshall's eyes scanned the smoke filled area, trying to catch a glance of her team member. The rush of water increased and she saw him struggling as a large piece of debris carried him down stream. With a cry, she dashed down the steam, jumping into the water as she grew near her comrade.
As she entered the water, her body was thrust under the rush of the just released current. As she struggled to reach her comrade and keep her head above water, she was just able to catch the sight of a tree and thrust fire power into lighting the tree. The flames licked at the tree as her head sunk below the water again. Her head swung around under the water, still searching for Halt. She caught sight of his weak body drifting towards the bottom on the river as he struggled to keep conscience. Her head broke for air once more and she saw her previous work being helped by Kevin. He saw her motive, and with her concentration once more, the fire erupted to even greater heights with their combined powers. She slipped under the water once more and soon heard the log crash into the river. Good. Just as she planned. She hoped that it would stop the rush of water enough so that she could reach Halt in time. As the water stopped rushing as hard, she was able to gain some leverage against the water and make her way to Haltson's side. Lifting the barely conscience stallion onto her back, she was able to slowly make it to the bank and bring him to safety before she turned back to the burning tree that was weakening against the pent up water.
They arrived back to the herd, mission accomplished. Marshall was awarded for her bravery and dedication to the safety of her team in more ways then one. Her herd rewarded her, but so did Haltson, but Marshall did not see his as a reward. He grew fond and attached to Marshall, and no matter how many times she told him that his feelings of love were only symptoms of post traumatic stress, he still pursued her. After several months, his feelings seeming to get stronger as time passed, Marshall had trouble living in her herd.
It soon came to the point where Marshall had to approach Halt telling him that while she had feelings for him, they were nothing past friendship, and they never would be. The look on his heartbroken face touched Marshall in a way. She cared for Halt. They had been friends at the Academy, and before.
That day, she approached both the head of the Fire Union and the head of the Quarters, asking to hand in her badges so that she could leave the herd to go elsewhere. The choice broke her family's heart, yet she felt that it would be best for her if she left. Only after much persuasion and pleading by the two heads did she retain her two badges, her rational was that they told her that if she ever wanted to come back ant any time, she would be welcome back into both forces. With a nod and a thank you, she left the two heads with a meaningful good bye and headed to do the same with her family. As the good byes came to a close, she left the land of her family with only her two badges as memory of the life she left behind.
Soon after, she entered the elemental land. A place to start.
