Welcome to Divinus Elementum,
It's nice to see a fresh soul in this place.
Now how about a quick introduction, because I am sure you
are surprised to find yourself here. Here in Elementum.
Where the elements, literally, come alive. But that's all
thanks to me, and my mate, Cae... Oh, yes, I've forgotten
to introduce myself. I am Divum, yes... That Divum... The
goddess of the land, Elementum.
I'm sure you are wondering how it's come to all of this,
everything that exists here, yes? Well, let's start at the
beginning. When the world was created by myself and my
mate, we decided to have some fun with our creatures. Oh,
yes, I'm sure you've heard similar stories before. Creatures being
granted the elemental power. Well we are different. Because
we are the real deal. So, we started out, granting our first creatures
control...
The Dinosaurs. Now, this was at the beginning of time, the world,
and we were happy to let them play, and have fun. Plant eaters got
control of earth. Meat eaters, got Fire. Those of the air... got air.
And those of water, received such as their element. But those few that
were overlooked. Bugs. Mammals. Creatures of lore. They started to
complain, which is how the final two elements found controllers. Keepers, if you will.
Thus, The elements, Spirit and Heart manifested. Now, the world
was going well, We were proud of our creatures. Until a fire bender got
greedy, and tried to get a meteor to come to him. It crashed into the world,
our dears died out. We were certain nothing had survived,
that already our fun had ended, all had died, as the world
turned cold. that was until we saw them... the survivors.
It was my turn to pick a creature to grant a power over. And thus,
The mammoths received my gift. All was fine and dandy, and they worked
so well together, till a mother saw a child shivering, and decided to heat up
the world to keep the children from being so cold. And thus, the ice age ended.
And with it, my sweet mammoths died out.
But as before, another race came to take their place. First it was wolves,
then cats. Then we moved to birds, then fish(Cae's idea), which
only lead to the sinking of atlantis. Then we jumped to snakes. But that
just made Eden fall to dust. Disaster after disaster . . .
And finally we moved to humans. They lasted so well, at first, hiding their
powers, fearing being different. Then they began to grow more powerful,
and growing power hungry, at the same time. At first Cae and I had no concern,
or at least we didn't, till they ended the world. Flames ate away at cities,
seas came to claim whole towns. The winds turned to tornadoes, tearing the
world apart. The earth started to develop a sick love of blood. Spirits turned to
poltergeists. Even the Heart Keepers were hurting instead of healing.
Cae and I had no choose. We destroyed our creations. Or at least we thought
we did. Slowly we noticed smaller creatures, birds, fish, wolves, cats... all survived
and started to repopulate. And we kept a close eye out for humans-only to
grow thankful when they didn't return. And then we saw them... The horses.
At first Cae was leery of the idea, but I had to prove to him. They could handle it.
At first it was just one or two horses for each element, but slowly
he gave in, my mate, and more gained elements, first Fire, then Water, then Air,
the Earth, then Heart. And Lastly Spirit. All worked together, rebuilding the world,
careful to not fail us like the humans had. And we began to trust them.
But that was a twenty or so years ago. Since then, they have gained out trust,
they have grown in numbers, and oddities have started to form. Unique
colors. horns. wings. You name it, we've seen it here. And that was when
we decided to reward them. And that was the first year that a companion
attached itself to a foal. We were careful, only allowing a few foals at a time,
and when once again, we weren't disappointed, more received companions
of their own, till now every horse born receives one. They have grown
closer, these elements, and we grew proud, like parents, to see
our children, our creations mixing so well for once. But then trouble started to
brew.
The four main elements have always had a greater population then
Spirit and Heart, but they'd always worked so well to protect those lesser.
Until the threat of war began to rumble beneath the usual diplomatic
unions. Secrets and rumors started spreading about the elements
Heart and Spirit, and elements have started to make threats towards
the element Spirit. Soon our perfect creations began to separate
from one another, dispersing and becoming their own unions. No longer
working together, to help one another.
Soon being different, it became an almost crime. Spirit equines have become
outcasts, with only water and heart to back them up. Earth, Fire, and Air
have sided to destroy Spirit, and anything that stands between them.
But is war really necessary. Is there a way we can avoid it? No one knows
anymore. But this isn't about the possibility of war. It's almost become
certain, the problem now is the threat that still continues to remain.
More rumors have been circling throughout the citizens of Divinus Elementum....
rumors of a secret power so devastating, it could wipe the other elements
off the face of the earth... Some say it's a rabbit. Others, a flower.
Most believe it doesn't exist; only the Spirit equine fully believe in
the presence of this powerful thing that could make the one whom
finds it and takes it invincible. The object is said to exist in Feeble
Forest, deep within the glades and hidden. Only the pure of heart
can see it; others simply see a bare grove. This item that changes
for every pure at heart that sees it, however is protected by an
ancient magic barrier that was designed by Divum, myself, to protect
my beloved trinket. Along with the barrier, I appointed a specific mare
one who's good heart outshines the darkest shadows. With her,
and the barrier in place, none shall take the trinket.
This item not only gives the captor invincibility, but it gives his or her alliance the
chance to become the most powerful. While Spirit equine listen to this and
believe in it like a religion, the others shun Spirit for believing in the 'supernatural.' And the threat of war has increased tensions. Now, the
Spirit horses are seeking this object out, and a few other horses in the
other elements believe of it's existence. Fear haunts them all.
Most want the object left alone and at peace, to spare the wrath of the Gods.
Some want to see the object, believing that just laying eyes on it will make them all powerful...
And some... Some are plotting to take this powerful trinket as their own,
and use it for their own advantage... One stallion of fire in general will
decide he will stop at nothing to have the stone in his possession. Even
if it means hunting down Divum, and the mare she appoints as guardian
of the stone. And once the stone is in his possession, he will become power
hungry, and bent to destroy anyone who gets in his way... But, while all of
this is happening more disasters are about to strike. Especially when Delarose,
the air queen, and Skeleton Key, the spirit king, have their first foal. It
strikes up a rebellion in the air, that threatens both the lives of
Skeleton King, as well as his new born son.
Giving the foal to an old friend, Diablo, Dela will stop at nothing to make
sure everything is returned to normal, joining up with a mare, who is also on
a mission to protect the spirit equines. Together; they will do everything
in their power to see the foal safe, especially when told by the gods
just how important this child is. A new desire emerges as they start to
work together, a desire for some sort of common understanding
return to all the different elements. But how long will that take? And
will they be forced to use the trinket to ensure this idea of peace?
Is this the end of life on Divinus Elementum as we know it, or will a hero arise
to counter the threat that wants this object? Or will the citizens simply
stop caring, and go on pretending it doesn't exist while continuing
to shun Spirit and plot their downfall?
It's up to you, our loyal citizens,
to decide...
Whose side are you on?
What will you live for
And when all else fails... where will you run too?
