Wind
Let's set some things straight boys and girls. Rule one- I am a badass. Logic says you probably are not.
Let's set some things straight boys and girls. Rule one- I am a badass. Logic says you probably are not.
In this land I am not in charge. I do not reign supreme like I have before, and yet this role fits me so much better than most. I am in a position of minor control, a harder to find target with an easier ability to manipulate the world around me. I am Wind, and whether you ally yourself to me or not, you're going to be hearing that name a lot in the future. Wind moved through the "Feeble Forest" without much worry. He wasn't impressed with Divum's naming skills, nor much else about her. That was why whenever they came face to face she had "some issues" with "my pet". It was really starting to tick him off, being referred to as her pet, but he really wasn't in a position to go head to head with the gods. The place was dark and gloomy, sure, but the name didn't make it sound all that scary- or impressive for that matter. Divum apparently had two wonderful treasures hidden away somewhere in here, but he didn't care to find them. He wasn't "pure of heart" enough to get past whatever sick borders he was sure she had set up too. For someone who wasn't mortal, he sure managed to get under her skin. He had argued his reasons why she should keep him before, and so far she had kept him despite his unhidden references to his goddess- Artemis who did not reign supreme here. In fact, if Divum were to be believed she didn't reign at all, but Wind had faith in it still. It was just stretched and her power was less here because so few believed in her. So Wind stayed in his uneasy truce with Divum, cautious not to piss her off- any more than normal. He could not deny that she was the main goddess here, and screwing with her could just get him killed. It wasn't a fate he wanted to ponder just yet.
Then again though, the black stallion didn't have much to fear about in the way of death. He was so close to immortality without quite being there. Have patience with yourself Wind. You'll be there someday, and then your only fear really will be Divum. Of course she's sick enough, and hates you enough that you'll finally gain it... and then she'll kill you. Still, immortality wasn't quite necessary at this point. Usually he was surrounded by his army members, making himself harder to reach than a berry in a thorn bush. Good lord, the more I ramble the more idiotic I get. I suppose they are nice most of the time, but this is one of the moments I needed to escape.. even Reshef. He was free today, from even Reshef, who usually followed him like a faithful guard dog- essentially what he was. He felt safe, certain that he was not going to be jumped by anyone mortal at this point. His coat was a faint outline in the darkness, but even he could see the slightly darker spots that indicated the lovely scaling that protected him from most blows a mortal leg or mouth could throw. The scales protected his face, his chest, his stomach, the majority of his neck, his rump, the tops of all four legs. He was pretty well covered when it came right down to it, though he hadn't tested them in a while. His necklace was pissing him off today though, all the little bones rattling against each other. It was a great intimidation technique- when he was involved with dealing some idiot that questioned his authority. Times like this kinda just really irked him. His wings weren't bugging him today though, and this he could enjoy. Being able to fly was something he had loved since the Wings had grown, though he had to admit that accidentally lighting things on fire had pissed him off for a while. Still- the fiery wings that trailed in his wake were impressive, warm, and added even more to the intimidation technique. Reason 462 to avoid Divum- Upon sight of me she begins namecalling and changing my appearance. To involve mostly pink. Doesn't exactly make me look all that good. And I really hate when my wings trail glitter. I'll get that woman back, someday I swear I will. Rule 2- Don't mess with the Badass. He's good with revenge. (exception: Divum- that revenge for obvious reasons must all be verbal.)
