Obsessed, Depressed at the same time
I can't even walk in a straight line
I been lie'n in the dark, no sunshine
When I look into your eyes
You're not even there
It's just a feelin' that I have

Skeleton Key, what makes you who you are? What's with the name, really now? Skeleton- well that part's a little obvious. Your wings, things that should be substantial feather or leather to let you fly, are nothing but bone protruding out and gleaming white at the world. Key- well that's a little tougher. Why would you be a key, and would would you be a key to? The key to the kingdom, perhaps? The key to Spirit's survival with your communication with the dragons? No that's not quite right now. You're the key to the kingdom, yes, as much the ruler of yours as the lady you've come to visit is queen of hers. You are the most in touch with your element it seems, as king of your own land. Welcome to her land Skeleton. The question at hand now, is will you succeed.
His eyes roamed this place, this ancient temple of the gods in which the lady he had chased this far resided. The lady, Delarose, was queen of this world, so different from his own. She had made him run this far after her and her fancy fluffy bird wings, and peppy attitude. He could have laughed, that it had all lead back to here. How far would you chase her Skel? Does she really matter huge amounts to her? That he couldn't answer. She ran and he followed because it gave him something to chase. He was tired of not having to work for something, and this gave him a goal to focus on. He could sense the spirits flitting around this house, and straining at barriers of their own sort. Some were too old to remember the tricks of language, as they did not usually have someone with which to converse. You... You do not belong here! You can hear me, I know, and that is what marks you as out of place! Go home fool! You are not welcome here! He rolled his eyes. It was pointless to argue with the ones that told you you weren't supposed to be there. They said that whether you were supposed to be where you were or not. Which, frankly, annoyed him to no end. He could see the figure that was attempting to drive him from where he stood. A shadowy figure of a horse, hissing at him from behind a pillar. "Is that really all you have to say? No ancient wisdom to help me on my path? No plead for help crossing to the other side? Just classic, you don't belong here? Get over it. I'm staying here." He felt something brush behind his forelegs, but it did not worry him. It was only Lafayette, the komodo dragon he'd been paired with at birth. She was almost three feet long now, huge, and he only worried about stepping on her when he was asleep now. She gripped on and scuttled up his foreleg and onto his back.
He could feel the plane of death so close here, pulling at him. He ignored it. There was work besides that to be done today. Skel, care to let me in on exactly what we're doing in the temple of the air queen? Skeleton sighed. The "dragon" was insistent. Unlike the real ones however, she asked questions about his personal life, and seemed to care where they went and how they got there. The mouth the girl had wasn't even close to being like those of the real dragons. All they ever wanted to do was riddle. Lafayette was not the least bit interested in riddles. She was interested in politics. He had rolled his eyes when she had first told him that, but it had in fact come in quite handy since he had begun his reign. He couldn't deny that she had been helpful to him, so he opened his mouth to reply to her. That was when he saw her, Dela, as if she had been there the entire time. "She's why were here Lafayette. A truce is quite in order at this point I think."
I'll tell you my tale- 4AC948
But this stays in my brain- 4C7064
And I'll spin a beautiful lie- 4D4D4D
But they'll still speak to me, dead or not- 49E9BD
And I'll still be here when they've left-458B00
I can't even walk in a straight line
I been lie'n in the dark, no sunshine
When I look into your eyes
