Overall: Nokomis is a very beautiful mare with a stunning body and gorgeous coat. She is slender and built delicately for one allianced with Earth. Her coat is colored like reddened clay, a darkening red that reminds one of the later colors in a sunset or of flames settling into the last coals on a fire. Her mane begins as flaxen at the roots and darkens steadily into a light auburn red that varies with each strand, giving her mane and tail multi-hued affects. Her legs are long and slender, giving way to powerful shoulders and hindquarters. Nokomis is known for her speed, there are few who can keep up with her. Her face is dished and attractive, eyes sitting deep and dark, and a white blaze moving down the lower half of her face and over her black muzzle.

Personality
Likes: winter, running, a good breeze, honesty, making friends, meeting new personalities, anyone who can put up with her
Dislikes: tempermental horses, liars, hot weather, being thirsty, the sensation of falling or burning, overly-dramatic horses, fools
Fears: falling, dying of thirst/starvation/in a desert, dying all alone
Secrets: She may act like she's grounded and has no fears, but Nokomis really wants someone to just love her for who she is and not her good looks.
Overall: Nokomis is very straightforward. She will give it to you like it is, straight-up, no questions asked. She is very loyal, to the death. To be her friend is to have a friend for life, because bonds of any kind mean the world to her. She's a very good friend, enemy, and lover. Whatever you need of her, she can provide it in leaps and bounds, if that's what she wants. With her loyalty comes a temper that is just as strong. She doesn't put up with silliness or fools and is soft on no one. Romance never sits well with her, or so she says, because Nokomis doesn't believe in silliness. She believes most stallions to be blatant liars who have sex with a million mares and never tell the others about each other. Nokomis does want to fall in love eventually, as all she's ever had were short flings or one-night stands, because she doesn't mind having a good time. But Nokomis is notorious for not staying with a stallion for very long. It isn't that she's afraid of committment, but Nokomis is sure that every stallion she meets will eventually replace her with another or just use her as a trophy mate. She hasn't seen a miraculous sign of anything but that yet, and, as obvious from above, can hold a grudge forever. She doesn't like to be crossed and she has no problems with hunting you down and ruining you if she has to. Nokomis doesn't like to be messed with. While she is patient, she's bound to give you a piece of her mind should you annoy her for long enough. If she likes someone, as a friend or lover, etc., she will put up with them for longer, but anyone who gets on her nerves is going to learn a lesson quickly.

History
History: Nokomis was born to a very large herd of fourteen mares, seven foals, and three stallions. The lead pair were very contentious about their leading and did an excellent job, even though they bickered constantly, because the stallion had several "concubines" as he called them. The lead mare detested having his attention on those other mares and usually had a fit if he had more than one foal with one of them, seeing that as favoritism. She all but sold off a slave who became a favorite of the stallion's, because she couldn't stand how much attention the mare got. Nokomis was born to one of the lead's concubines, a cunning mare named
